Integrate with Consumer Choice platform

What is integration and who is it for?

Integration onto the Your Online Choices Consumer Choice platform is available for companies actively engaged in collecting OBA data and/or delivering OBA ads. “Integration” means that your company will be added to the list of participating companies who offer internet users choice and control over Online Behavioural Advertising, by giving them the ability to turn off behavioural advertising. The Consumer Choice platform is aimed at empowering internet users whilst protecting OBA for businesses as a responsible advertising practice.

In order to integrate onto the Your Online Choices platform, a business must be a signatory of the IAB Europe OBA Framework. For further details on how to become a signatory, please see Join the Programme.

What are the benefits?

OBA has been proven to generate significant revenue for businesses due to its focus on providing consumers with more relevant ads to their inferred interests. As such, it has become an essential component of effective online marketing strategies. However, the practice of OBA is not commonly understood and often raises concerns over user privacy issues. Involvement in the European self-regulatory programme for OBA demonstrates that your company is committed to empowering internet users across Europe with greater choice and control over OBA. Participating in the programme offers many benefits, not to mention a competitive edge on the growing privacy-orientated internet market.
